Assessment

Orion’s Mind uses Scantron’s Performance SeriesSM product to assess students both before and after the program. The Scantron Corporation is nationally recognized and has been providing assessment tools for over 32 years. Orion’s Mind analyzes this data using our proprietary software to:

1) Place students in specialized groups.

2) Create an Individualized Learning Plan for each student.

3) Provide extremely detailed information (i.e. Student A can add two-digit numbers without regrouping but can’t add two-digit numbers with regrouping) that can help teachers prioritize class time, assemble math and reading groups, and identify students who need extra help on specific benchmarks.

4) Aid principals in identifying areas that need more resources, emphasis, or staff development to improve overall test scores for the school.

5) Provide parents with information about their child’s strengths, weaknesses, and improvement throughout the tutoring program.

This analysis also is the foundation of the Orion’s Mind three-pronged approach.
