Educational Philosophy
Humans can increase their thinking capacity and strengthen their neural networks by:
1) Practicing the same task over and over
again 1
As students review a flash card of 2 x 2 = 4, it becomes easier for the brain to recall this math fact. With enough practice, this neural connection becomes automatic.

2) Increasing the number of neurons to
which a piece of information is connected 2
By using the same fact in multiple ways, the fact becomes connected to many areas of the brain, creating more ways the brain has to recall that information. For example, creating a sculpture to represent the fact connects the fact to the artistic part of the brain.

The Orion’s Mind program teaches math and reading in multiple ways to increase students’ neural networks and maximize learning, retention, and understanding.
