Communication with Parents
Orion’s Mind openly communicates with parents in the following ways:
1. Pre-Program Report: |
|
| Students take a pre-assessment test before the program begins. Parents receive a pre-program report about what their child already knows and where they need improvement. | |
2. Individual Learning Plan: |
|
| Parents will receive a timeline of the concepts their child will learn during the program. | |
3. Take-home Packets: |
|
| Orion’s Mind generates customized worksheet packets for each student based on their pre-assessment test. The easy-to-use study guides make it easier for parents to work with their child at home. The packets are not mandatory; however, students are rewarded with a book of their choice for each packet they complete. | |
4. End-of-Program Report: |
|
| At the end of the program, students take a post-assessment test. Parents receive an end-of-program report that shows the progress their child made throughout the tutoring program. | |
5. Parent-Tutor Conference: |
|
| At the end of the program, parents can sign-up for a face-to-face conference with their child’s tutor. The tutor can help explain the end-of-program reports and share details about their child’s experience and progress. | |
