Communication with Schools

Orion’s Mind openly communicates with schools in the following ways:

1. Pre-Program Report:
	Pre-assessment reports are given to the classroom teacher on each individual student and to the principal and district on the students as a whole. School officials also receive a copy of the student’s Individual Learning Plan.
2. Regular Updates:
	The tutors check in with the teachers by e-mail, phone, or in-person every few sessions. Regular communication with the classroom teachers allows us to continually monitor a student’s progress. Principals and districts receive monthly updates.
3. End-of-Program Report:
	Teachers, principals, and the district all receive gains reports at the end of the program. Teachers receive a list of benchmarks and standards the students should continue to focus on after the program is over, as well as a list of the concepts which they mastered during the program. Principals and districts receive overall reports that show how the students improved compared to national norms.
4. Conferences:
	Orion’s Mind schedules face to face meetings with each principal and district to discuss the results and the post-assessment scores.
